With the release of the AudioMovie for Age of Descent we launch the World Writers Showcase.  A platform to encourage the forgotten art of the writer.

We are living in insane times.  As suffocating, harrowing and troubling as they can be, the one drop of positivity we can squeeze from our mad existence is that our current circumstances must surely lead to a return to the art of writing.  

Ignoring the impact Coronavirus and the lockdown has had on the production of microbudget films, until recent times there were more films being made than ever before.  A great thing, yes, but sadly there was a plethora of content but very little ‘meaning’ within that smorgasbord.  

Nothing of meaning, of substance, can exist without the skill, the craft and the courage of a writer.  Oh yes, it takes a great deal of courage to write.  To write something challenging, honest, profound, examining the strange and dubious nature of humanity and the world in which we live.

To encourage this art and to celebrate it, to give that thin sliver of hope to those aspiring to succeed at the craft of writing, we present The World Writers Showcase, a platform to observe and promote, both artistically and commercially, writers from any background.  

Writing is not just for the privileged classes anymore.  There is a poetry to be found on the streets.  

For those of you who know that there is a book, a short story or a poem out there that needs to be read, but first needs to be written, this is the place for you.  

For those of you who know there’s a truth among the chaos, this is the place for you.

For those of you who know what Hitchcock meant when he said ‘to make a great film you need three things, a great script, a great script and a great script’ then this is the place for you
