British Filmmakers Alliance
A network for independent UK filmmakers who believe that bold, honest storytelling can change how people see the world.
What We Are
Independent Filmmakers.
United by Purpose.
The British Filmmakers Alliance was founded as the community arm of Wild Frontier Productions — a network for the writers, directors, producers, and crew who share our belief that independent cinema has the power to change the world.
We exist for the filmmakers who work outside the mainstream — who make films not for money or fame, but because they have stories that need to be told. The BFA is their home.
From emerging voices taking their first steps to established practitioners looking for a community of equals — the Alliance is built on the conviction that we are stronger together.
The Alliance
Films Made with Courage.
Every story can be told. But only by those who have the courage to take the path like warriors.
What We Stand For
Our Foundations
Community
A Network Built on Craft
The British Filmmakers Alliance brings together writers, directors, producers, and crew from across the UK — a community united by a shared belief in the power of independent cinema.
Collaboration
Stronger Together
We exist to break down the walls that isolate independent filmmakers. By connecting talent across disciplines and regions, we create the conditions for bold, ambitious work to flourish.
Opportunity
Opening Doors
From emerging voices to established practitioners, the BFA actively platforms talent that the mainstream industry too often overlooks — giving their work the stage it deserves.
Purpose
Cinema That Matters
We champion films that speak of our times — stories told with honesty, craft, and conviction. The kind of films that stay with an audience long after the credits roll.

Our Belief
"The right story, told with honesty and craft, can change how people see the world."
That belief is at the heart of everything the British Filmmakers Alliance does. We are not here to make films for money, or for fame, or for glory. We are here to honour the stories that need to be told.
If that is why you make films, the Alliance is your home.
Our Mission
Walk Beside Us.
The British Filmmakers Alliance is growing. We are looking for the filmmakers, writers, and storytellers who share our conviction — and our courage.
